Memorial Project Status

The Dr. Amie Harwick Memorial project is in the fundraising and concept design phase. Proceeds will go to the final statue design, the cost of the metal (bronze), as well as the creation of the sculpture of Amie, a memorial plaque, and an ornate plinth. The cost also includes creating the molds and castings of the statue, objects and plinth as well as shipping, site preparation, installation and a cemetery care fees.

Here is where the money is going (all initial estimates):

Statue Design, Sculpting, and Casting in Bronze: $47,000

Base Design, Sculpting, and Carving in Stone (possibly casting), plus Bronze Plaques: $29,000

Freight Fees: $5,000

Two Adjacent Cemetery Plots at Hollywood Forever: $70,000

Cemetery Installation and Care Fees: $24,000

Total: $175,000

Once the statue is installed, any remaining funds will be donated to a domestic violence charity in her name.
